PITTSBURGH, PA, February 20, 2000 - Visit OPTIMUM at Booth 1791 at the 2000 SAE International Congress & Exposition. The show starts Monday, March 6th through Thursday, March 9th at the Cobo Center, Detroit Michigan. This show is possibly the largest showcase for the automotive engineering industries’ finest from all over the World, with over 1,400 exhibitors and 50,000 attendees.

OPTIMUM was founded with the mission of developing the World’s best simulation based engine design tools. After nearly a decade of development and close collaboration with The Queen’s University of Belfast (QUB) and Professor Emeritus Gordon P. Blair, the Company is releasing Virtual 2-Stroke® and Virtual 4-stroke engine simulation software products. New mathematical methods coupled with the latest visualization techniques place Virtual 2-Stroke and Virtual 4-Stroke at the leading edge of current technology.

PTrAn is OPTIMUM’s combustion analysis software tool for the definitive assessment of measured pressure data. Version 2.0 offers many enhancements including graphical layout, thermal shock and drift assessment, data conversion from other platforms and analysis of transient tests.

OPTIMUM will also be showcasing its Grand Prix Control products for advanced engine management to be released later this year.
